We were there this past Friday evening, after having read several reviews on T/A. So maybe I should start here: I noticed some reviews mentioning that this restaurant is not Italian at all, as it apparently sells itself to be. Casa Bella belongs to the Spur Corporation- in other words, the same people who brought you the Spur Steak Ranches and Panarotti's and John Dori's. Casa Bella is like an upmarket, improved version of Panarottis, catering for a different section of the market, with a completely different menu to the other restaurant brands within the Spur group. That is as Italian as it gets- in other words, it is not truly Italian at all, so please don't go there expecting to find Italian owners cooking authentic Italian food. It simply has an Italian theme.
But do go here and try it out. The decor is well done and I had pizza-oven envy, as they have two super large, exquisitely decorated pizza ovens. We found the food to be very good. Several people at our table ordered the rump steak, one had the spatchcock chicken (which, incidentally, is an Entire chicken on a wooden board), one ordered the calamari and another had the seafood pasta. The pasta dish was very generous in size and the calamari was super soft and perfectly cooked. Our steaks were also all cooked well and my request for no basting sauce on my steak, in order for it to be gluten-free, was adhered to. They also serve had-cut chips, which is always nice.
Also available are pizzas and burgers. The only item I missed was a fish dish- such as grilled line fish, of which there are not any as far as I could see, although they do have seafood pasta, calamari etc. Their breakfast menu looks very nice and we will definitely go back for that.
One can take your own wine and simply pay corkage, or purchase wine from them.
The manager was on the floor checking on tables, which is always a bonus as well.
My only negatives would be the following- all issues that can be addressed and might be the result of the restaurant still being new. Or issues that are generally difficult to deal with for any restaurant.
One the evening we were there they had a very large group of people at a long table and the noise levels were such that one had difficulty hearing the people across the table from you. There were people at tables directly next to the party that asked to be moved, as the noise simply became too much. It was also obvious that the amount of waiters on the floor were not nearly enough for the amount of people seated. We were advised by our waiter to order our food before the large party started ordering theirs and this worked well, but there was more than one occasion in which we could see at least 6-10 plates of food waiting on the pass to be collected by waiters, who were stuck elsewhere attending to tables or bills. As a result of this two of the perfectly cooked steaks at our table were cold and we did not want to re-order, as, given the large party in the restaurant our food would have arrived much later only. So the issue here was not with the kitchen not coping with the volume, it was not having enough waiters on the floor.
This restaurant seems to be extremely popular already and we saw people being turned away. So save yourself the disappointment and make a reservation. They do have outside seating, but make sure there is not a breath of wind blowing before you book an outside table. Also, with the dam at the Sanctuary center not being maintained properly mosquitoes are a common occurrence. The seating was a small issue for me- I went there in person to book a table for 7 people and I was told I could choose a table, which I did. When we arrived, we were given a different table in not nearly as nice a position as what I chose. Not the end of the world, but don't create an expectation and then not deliver on it.
So while they have a few areas that, in my opinion, still require work, this is a nice , budget friendly restaurant and we will go there again. No kiddies play area, and we saw two couples running around after their toddles who wanted to take glasses out of an open display cupboard- so save yourself the trouble and rather don't take very young children here if they are too young to stay seated throughout a meal.

We had dinner as a family with two young children, and a friend from Windhoek. The staff was friendly, but the children's menu is very limited. And the waiting time for our food exceeded 45 minutes - not a good thing with children. Also pricey. No understanding of crisp pizza bread, even though we have sent back the bread. If you have time on your hands, and a fat purse, with no children, the experience should be OK. The Gorgonzola pizza was disappointing - no value for money.

Have now been twice and was not disappointed on the second visit. The Prawns were absolutely delicious and the Spaghetti Bolognaise was a very generous portion and tasty. The service is very good, polite and not in-your-face. Free corkage always.

Upon arrival we received these delicious little balls of goodness, they were really delicious and wanted to ask for more.

We then decided to order pasta instead of pizza and settled for, Fettuccine Alfredo and Chorizo Fettuccine Alfredo.
The Fettuccine Alfredo could have had a little more sauce with the pasta. The overall feeling was that it was a good meal.

We also had milkshakes, however slightly disappointing that they could not make a Hazelnut Milkshake I settled with the Spiced Chai Milkshake, the milkshakes are worth every penny and highly recommended.

Side note, the door leading to the outside section was not tied down and we were subject to listening to the door slam closed and opening again, and when asked why this is happening we got a brief answer of "oh the hook is broken but the door cant swing inside so don't worry"
