Two things happen when you approach the Good Hope Farm. As you approach you are blown away by the view of the farm (See photo!)- AND - you also immediately loose any connectivity with the outside world, which is a lovely thing! If you are permanently tethered to your phone, ipad or such, then this might not be the place for you, but we found it actually really refreshing to unplug from the rest of the world for a couple of days (and a quick drive up the hill and you can connect again, if you have to :).
But let's focus on what is so wonderful about this place:
1. The views and the location
2. It is an working, organic farm. Animals galore. On one afternoon sitting in the garden of the cottage we had young pigs visiting, goats, a few sheep, young cows and of course the farm dogs and even Geoffrey, the pony sized goat, who wanted to investigate the bedroom of the cottage :)
3. There is boma with a pool close to the Mountain Cottages, which is lovely for gatherings.
4. We were with a large group that had also organized catering and the food provided was fresh and excellent (fresh farm meat, home baked breads and excellent salads).
A place we would recommend and return to! Lots to do here and I would imagine a wonderful place for families and a good rest away from it all!
