If you are in Prince Albert do not miss this museum, which is in a wonderful old heritage house in the main road. It is full of interesting artefacts with something for all ages: kitchens, furniture, weapons, stories of the surrounding areas. The curator is very knowledgeable.

This is a must and will give you a real feel for the colouful and vibrant history of the town and its founding families.

The items on display cover many facets with some intersting old furnishings and a wide selection of all sorts of memorabelia .

A brief intro by the friendly manager set the pace for a memorable visit to this beautifully maintained old building.

During our 10 day holiday through the Western Cape, visiting museums, shops, hotels, restaurants, Bed and Breakfast establishments etc, this was the only place we where shown the door, because we had our Maltese dog with us.
