We arrived in Capetown the night before we ate here and had the most amazing seafood experience at Paranga in Camps Bay. We had cocktails, a bottle of expensive wine, seafood starters & main course langoustine with sides only a fraction more than we paid for mediocre rock lobster & chips with a glass of wine each! The waitress was very kind and helpful but we feel absolutely conned by our lunch experience today. We are to blame too as normally we would not go near a tourist venue such as that but the restaurant we had been hoping to go to was closed. I doubt you will pay any more anywhere in this lovely area than what this place charges for mediocrity on a plate. Cheers Mariners Wharf- hope you are pleased with your selves!

Sorry for your experience. With respect, we find this strange as most people say we are very well priced (R950 for 2.5 lobsters) compared to other Waterfront and Camps Bay establishments which is sometimes a third to double our price. We are a popular establishment and attract tourists same as Camps Bay and Waterfront.

Very bad experience. Food tasteless and expensive. 10 personnel members doong nothing. Wet chairs. Mussels discusting. Calamaris cold and sickening. We are travelling around Namibia and South Africa and this As our worst meal so far. British owners should do something about this .

I am sorry to read about your bad experience given we have been rated 4/5 stars on average. This is not our usual standard and it is a pity that you never raised your complaint with the manager on duty at the time as we would have remade your food to your complete satisfaction. The owners are South African not British so I hope you are rating the correct restaurant.

Visited over peak time and the restaurant was busy. However the team, from host to waiter, were in control and welcoming to every guest, calmly explaining the wait time for the umpteen time like it was the first!!

The food was fresh and amazing, I am glad I stopped over after many postponements on other trips. They have a good menu which accommodated my non fish eating child-she enjoyed her steak so much!! I had the fisherman’s basket for 1…

It’s now on my must visit when I am in Cape Town!

Being from the old Transvaal we always heard about this place's fantastic Fish and Chips and we weren't disappointed. Sitting on the deck overlooking the beach was so relaxing and combined with the very friendly service we have decided this place will see us again for sure.

This restaurant on the top deck at mariner’s wharf was lovely. The view of the beach was entertaining, seeing what everyone was doing on the beach. The food was very good too. We the catch of the day ( lovely fresh yellow tail), which was served with a creamy sauce and a big piece of lemon ( half a lemon). The calamari was soft ( not chewy at all) and very tasty. But the hero was the mussel soup, it was divine.
