Service was great: manager, hostess and server, Teddy, were very personable and talked with us for a long time.

Dropped into the Wharfside when we were taking the Sightseeing tour bus from Kirstenbosch. Had looked it up earlier and expected it to be pretty decent....and it was. Given location on Hout Bay, its one for seafood. We probably ate Kingklip 5 or 6 times on this trip and Wharfside was the tastiest and freshest. Good service, nice craft beers and nice olde world atmosphere (even it a little cliche)
We purchased the hop on hop off bus iventure card..found this place had a special on a mixed grilled seafood plate with a glass of wine for about R120 with the card..my wife ordered that and I had grilled shrimp..her dinner was huge and she enjoyed each item. My shrimp was delicious also..(and don’t miss their homemade bread!!) Will definitely be back when we are in Cape Town next time!!
Friendly staff, great views, clean environment & some great-looking options on the menu.
The restaurant features items found in ships that sailed centuries/decades ago. This includes memorabilia, images, clocks, ship-windows and the works.
The manager is very proud of the establishment, and takes pride in ensuring visitors come for a visit and leave with an experience.
I will definitely visit each time I have a chance throughout the year .

(this is though my personal opinion)
Excellent food. Don’t even think about going elsewhere this is the best place ever in Cape Town. I travel here on a yearly basis from Norway and can recommend it.
