Llandudno beach nearby was our favourite beach. We loved the location hogh on the hill with great views of hills opposite and part of Chapmans Peak drive. A
car is essential though as it is about 3 or 4 km to the town. Good selection of restaurants and the indoor Bay Market had a great vibe with a stage for live music every weekend. Reminded us of Borough market in London.

We enjoyed the breakfasts. Very very good internet. Room spotless. Very friendly attentive owner Ivanka.

The driveway is steep and tricky but you have the option of simply emptying the car and leaving it just outside on the street as the security guard is there all night and there is also security at the entrance to the road itself. The security on site is incredible. Even our room was alarmed.

I think it's a great central location for day trips in different directions.

Will be back for sure.

I last stayed 8 years ago and have dreamt of returning ever since. Our second stay was as fabulous as the first. This is a great base for exploring Cape Town, the Atlantic beaches and the peninsula. But you are torn because it’s as enjoyable relaxing in the beautiful gardens and enjoying the incredible view. The best breakfast spot in the world, and more good restaurants nearby now. Ivanka is the perfect host.

Dreamhouse was the first stay after we arrived in Cape Town, South Africa. It was recommended by friends and we are really grateful for this recommendation.
The name says it all: it was a dream, from the reception to the very caring staff around Ivanka.
The view to the bay is fantastic, as are the rooms themselves. The breakfast is great; everything you might want from muesli to eggs, cooked to order.
This place is a great stop if you want to visit Cape Town and vicinity.

My wife and I stayed there for three nights. The guest house was easy to get to and had free parking. The WiFi is free. They have a good laundry service. Breakfast was rich and the staff was friendly. When requested to move breakfast half an hour earlier they were really kind to agree.

The guesthouse has a great location, on the hill above Hout bay and provides you with beautiful views of the area.
The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.
The owner Ivanka was not there, on vacation, so we met Catarina as responsible of the place.
We stayed in the Tranquillity suite. It offers direct view on the bay and the see. It is located in the second house. .

Part of our problem came that the first house was in repair and the second house was in fact used as the main one. So the lounge was the breakfast room and was the main place for guests in evening.
(All those inconveniences not mentioned when booking, but we were upgraded from Serenity to Tranquillity).

And we discovered the respective location of the suites in the house.
As the pictures are taken and shown on the website, we got the impression we would be on the last floor.
In fact the Serenity is on main floor, but just adjacent to the lounge. And the Tranquillity is underground, below the lounge. As there is no door in the stairs leading downstairs, all noise come through.
In the first evening, german guests (they are quite the majority) met above and we had loud noise, I went to ask them to stop. Which created quite an unease. The second night was much better, they were somewhere else.

About the room, we had everything we needed. (but we forgot to set up temperature for heating...). The suite is a bit smaller than shown on pictures.
There is possibility to have coffee and tea, but only rooibos available.

We did not use the pool, it was too cold outside. We did not really enjoyed the garden, lack of time.
Breakfast quite good, but the local staff is not really nice.
On first morning, we asked to have earlier breakfast by 15-20mn. It sounded complicated due to opening time of bakery but was agreed. What a surprise when we arrived in lounge to see the german guests were already having their breakfast!!

To mention that you get 10% discount in case of paying cash (but we got no receipt)

Room tip: Ask for the location of the suites before (I can only say for Serenity and Tranquillity)
