One of the first things we noticed after we entered the gates of the estate was the scent of jasmine. The air is perfumed there with flowers which is symbolic of the quiet, restful, colonial feel of this remarkable place. We spent 3 days there in the Pomegranate Cottage just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings--walking through the gardens and vineyards, swimming in the pool, eating the wonderful food and tasting the wines. The cottage was a cute, tiny house with an excellent bed and lovely stone shower in the bath. The ventilation could have been better in the bathroom, however. The air conditioning functioned quietly and well and the service everywhere was very good. We had dinner in two restaurants of the estate, the Garden Room and the Dining Room, and really enjoyed the meals in both. It was clear from the immaculate condition of the room and the public areas that the hotel is new and a lot of care has gone into its development and upkeep. We would return at any time.
