Arriving along a gravel road to a delightful white painted building with beautiful gardens full of flowers. The atmosphere in the Orangerie was calm and tranquil with spotless white tablecloths, comfortable chairs and beautiful china. The food was absolutely delicious as was the service. We chose the cheese souffle, and everything else was beautifuly presented on the plate.
For us overseas visitors this would definitely be a Michelin Star in London !

Our review does not apply to the restaurant, but our tasting room experience.

Beautiful garden and tasting room was exquisite.
However the cost of the tasting was exorbitant.
To mark the wine up by more than 100% in your own tasting room is a shocker - no matter how good the quality.
E.g.- R90 for 2 x 50ml Cap Classique when a bottle cost R290.

Thank you so much for one of the best meals we’ve ever had in such a beautiful spot. Several of our group have severe gluten intolerances and the chef and waiting staff went the extra mile to cook us the most delicious meal, while making us feel comfortable about our requirements. Of all the places we’ve visited in the Cape this is the one we would choose to return to first. So special and highly, highly recommended to all the celiacs out there. Thank you.
