My husband and I visited this place as part of the winetram tour. It's a lovely little wine farm, so relaxing to sit under the trees at the back of the property and talk with the owners about what they are trying to achieve, while sipping a welcome drink of chilled rose wine. Their 16 year old daughter has also produced her own version of a Cape Ruby (like port) which was yummy. We had a delicious cheese and meat platter with home grown peaches while we tasted 5 wines - we bought a couple of bottles of the excellent Merlot. Believe the reviews and go!

Yes it's a wine estate but they grow peaches here too and they are absolutely delicious! A much smaller farm than some of the big commercial wineries but that's what makes this stop so special. Tastings and carried out by the owners and their personal service and the stories they share about the farm that has been in the family for generations adds to the flavor of the great wine they produce. They serve a scrumptious cheese and meat platter which would make the perfect accompaniment to the wine served here. Sitting under the shade of the old oak trees is so relaxing, you won't want to leave.

Prefer independent not commercial, this is the wine estate for you. The only estate we visited with white, blush, red, Cape Ruby ( port) and sparkling. Lovely history, great people, reasonable prices. Thank you for a great experience.

Lovely family owned winery in Franschhoek. One of the oldest vineyards in SA. Very personal experience as the wine maker conducts the tastings and tells you about the history of the area and the vines. Much nicer experience than being part of the production line in larger vineyards.
