Don't hesitate - book it. I promise you will not be disappointed. This is a very charming property on the Chamonix Estate. Yes you do need to drive or Uber yo may of the Franschhoek restaurants but the vale and location make it well worthwhile. Very lovely staff,
Located out of the town, well appointed accommodation. We stayed in one of the cottages - which was very well thought out. One negative - we would have preferred to have one or two bedside tables.
This place is amazing, fantastic view (as the guest house is on an elevated hill, at the foot of some amazing mountains).
Breakfast is amazing, you can have your wine tasting on the Dieu Donne Vinyard which is adjutant to this fantastic place.
Franschhoek town centre is not far, we even walked back from there, but at night we took Uber and drove.
The staff in the guest house were amazing and we got very friendly with the care taker who is a lovely guy.
The place is on the pink line of the Wine Tram and the bus even picked us up from there and we walked back in the afternoon as we enjoyed it so much.
Its impossible to describe how beautiful is Franschhoek and the beautiful journey we made from Hermanus through the mountains, it’s a must visit for anyone who loves South Africa.
The place looks even better than the pictures. It’s beautiful with a patio with gorgeous views. It’s right on the wine farm and surrounded by several other wine farms so the views are gorgeous. The cottage has a fully functioning kitchen if you want to cook. The town is also a kilometre away if you want to eat out.
My wife and I stayed at the vineyard for one night as part of our honeymoon through wine country and truly loved our experience. The staff are terrific, location in unbeatable and the rooms have beautiful views. We will be sure to be back next time we are in the area! Highly recommend!
