First impressions of this property are extremely favourable. It is set in beautiful grounds with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Sunset was stunning! My bedroom was very spacious and well furnished. The bathroom however left a lot to be desired. Maintenance was very poor and using the facilities for one night was more than enough.
Dinner was an unusual affair. The dining room was lovely and the food good but regular power cuts were annoying to say the least. The property does have its own generator but it does take a little while to kick in.
Finally, I recommend keeping cash and valuables with you at all times as my room did not appear to have a safe.

Room Tip: Check the bathroom before unpacking.

This guest house was an unexpected delight. Set up in the hills, with an amazing view, the gardens were fabulous. They are old and crumbling which added to the charm. The whole site is stunning. I suspect the image of the exterior of the goes house may put people off - don't be! Inside the rooms are delightful - ours had an open fire, comfy seating, lovely big bed and bathroom. The food was outstanding - both dinner and breakfast were superb. We would definitely want to stay here again.

Stayed again at Kings Walden Garden Manor. Beautyful scenery, nice Location. Very good dinner and breakfast. Very friendly hosts. Clean and comfortable rooms. Only reachable over a dirt road.
We will come again.

Pieasant and efficient staff and management.Outstanding food and beautiful and peaceful enviroment.
Room and bathroom standard good.Bed very comfortable.(one or two fearsome looking but harmless big spiders and other goggas walking around)Bedside lamps do not have switches other than on the wall.

Great potential but no hot water (maybe we were just unlucky). The manager tried his best to fix the issue but bad aftertaste from the experience.

Good:
- views, rooms, food quality, nice staff, manager
Bad:
- no hot water in 3 rooms, no adaptor for hair dryer, forgot to stock shampoo in rooms despite being asked to, forgot not to put mustard in our child's kudu steak as requested, access at night very foggy it becomes dangerous (please arrive during the day)

Stayed: December 2016, travelled with family
