We visited Addo today, 18 August and stopped for lunch at your restaurant around 13h30. We were served by Bongani - what a treat! He is a massive asset, just the right “way”, brilliant personality, efficient and an ideal person to be interacting with tourists at the park. Honestly, I can’t remember having a better waiter!
And the food was great too!
Thanks for a great experience.

Why is it that Cattle Baron Restaurants in our National Game Parks do not deliver? We entered just after 10 in the morning. The waiter brought the menus and walked away after placing on our table without saying a word. When we ordered our hamburgers her first response was they're still busy serving breakfast. She did however checked with the kitchen whose response was they haven't received their fresh buns yet. We opted for the previous day's buns, which were still perfectly fresh. When we tried to order the sides, we were told we could only order chips and salad. On top of it all, they use horrible frozen chips and my husband left most of it uneaten. Better pack a picnic basket or bring you meat to braai if you plan to visit Addo.

We've had two meals there and it was of a high quality and served well. Also, they have a good choice of wines. Service is fast and polite. Anyway, that's the only place to eat at Addo.

Tried the restaurant midway through our stay in the park and was a bit disappointed with the limited menu, but the food was pretty good. We sat outside (enclosed area) and had to look for our waiter on a few occasions. The gas heaters on the patio was a welcome benefit on a cold winters night. Not the best restaurant experience, but also not the worst. Definitely worth a try.
