Had a great time! Would def book there again. Location was great for the beach and close to the beginning of the boardwalk. House had everything u could need. People that live there all year round were very friendly and helpful. Dog loved it, so that meant wife loved it!
This was the first time we stayed in the Crest and loved it. It was just so quiet and peaceful. The lady downstairs lives there year-round and is friendly. The family on the other side was staying with two small children but we hardly heard them except for coming and going. The third floor was being worked on when we were there. First, the down-side. The mosquitoes were so bad that we could not enjoy the back yard at all. They might be coming from the area on the side of the property where there is a hose to rinse off after a day at the beach. A muddy puddle forms and we all know mosquitoes love standing water. If you have an issue with stairs you might was to re-consider, although the front entrance is just one flight up it is steep. The rear entrance has two sections of wooden stairs to climb. There was a small common deck in the rear with a grill that wasn't cleaned when we checked in. There is an apartment sized washer and drier. It does take a long time to dry clothes but we appreciated that we could wash and dry our clothes. There was enough dishes and pots and pans for our use and we found everything was cleaned and ready for our use. The living room was a nice size and the TV was in good working order as was the A/C. There is a main hallway with the two bedrooms on the right side. The single bathroom on the left. The bathroom is small. The two bedrooms are nice size and have a lot of light coming in the windows. The first bedroom has two windows, the second bedroom which is in the front of the house has three windows. Here is where I have to give a thumbs down. There is only sheer fabric at all of the windows in this house. You cannot get dressed in the bedrooms unless it is at night and you turn the lights out. I don't know if you could see in during the day time or not - I didn't check! The sheer fabric is great for photos but not for occupants. The real estate company who handles the rentals were great and always answered by emails promptly. The other downside is that there is no off-street parking for the renters. The off-street parking that it does have is for the lady who lives downstairs. Since it is very close to the beach, if you move your car during the day, you probably will return looking for a parking space. There is a church across the street but you can't park in their lot. You can hear the bands playing from the park nearby but it wasn't loud and we enjoyed the free concert. The beach is very close as well - isn't' that what we are here for? There also is a basketball court and playground on the way to the beach. Oh I forgot to mention that this place in dog-friendly, which is why we booked it. My senior doggie cannot do steps anymore so it was a bit of a time carrying her up and down the steps. I took her for a walk everytime she had to go out because of the bugs out back. The ocean view is to your left of the shared balcony. Not a perfect view but we liked it. We could see our family members coming back from the beach if we stood up. Not far from the end of the boardwalk where you can get the tram car. The return of our security deposit was prompt. We would stay there again.
