This was our second year staying at the Aloha motel and they always make us feel like family! The motel is immaculate and the staff is extremely hard working very friendly! It really does offer something for everybody. If you like the beach your only steps away. If you are a pool person it's as clear as glass! If you like to exercise the water wall offers beautiful scenery for a stroll or healthy jog all the way to Anglesea! The best bars and restaurants on the island are a ten minute walk or $6.00 cab ride. You can park your car and never get in it again if you wish. We are happy we found this oasis and look forward to coming back for years to come!

Room tip: Book early!

Aloha 33 years and going strong
My family and I have been going to the Aloha since we were married, and love it. We have brought friends over the years with and without their children, and have always had the best time. The service is high quality, consistent, clean and everyone is always gracious to help. The rooms have been updated numerous times, the hotel is always clean, the pool always welcoming and we are always welcomed as family every time we arrive. But that is how the owners are; they treat everyone with first class service.
The location is perfect across from the beach, but we love the hotel so much that we prefer to stay at the pool. We raised our daughter at the Aloha with annual vacations and now that we are empty nesters, we still go back again as a couple.
We have introduced this hotel to so many of our friends over the years, and they have become repeat customers themselves. There is no other place we will go in the New Jersey shore than the Aloha Motel.
The pool provides an area to relax in the sun or sit under the umbrella in the shade. Not being a swimmer, I can do my pool exercises, while others can swim laps and the kids can play ball and other fun games in the pool.
It is also so welcoming to meet new guests every year and see old repeat friends who are our Aloha friends, who we meet each year on their return trip. The housekeeping staff is so accommodating. We work in the mornings and they accommodate our time for cleaning the room, our requests for extra towels and just have everything the way we require it. We both have some handicaps and they accommodate this for us as well.
We have traveled over the years to some of the finest hotels and still rate the Aloha as our leading resort destination. We can be relaxed, still work when we need to, have quiet romantic time, and have fun family time. We look forward to continuing to come each year and expect our daughter, her husband and children to continue as well. This is the true definition of a high quality family hotel.
In summary, if you are looking to go to a place in the New Jersey Shore, the Aloha is the place to go whether you are a young couple, or family, since it is clean, friendly staff and owners, great food and they have the best hot dogs and ices too for an afternoon snack. The pool is clean and the rooms impeccable and everyone makes you feel welcome. We will be back next year and even though we are busy with work, we prefer to stay longer and have the Aloha as our base. It is across from the beach and close enough to the boardwalk to go there, but far enough to not hear the noise, and close to great restaurants too.
Thank you Aloha for giving us years of great memories and looking forward to making future ones too.
Aloha!!

Room tip: They are all good rooms, depends if you want higher floor, all have great amenities

Aloha-
For business, I travel to numerous hotels and resorts, across the country, and find that my experience at the Aloha remains exceptional for many years. My wife and I have stayed at the Aloha during different times of the year, April, June, August and even September, and have found the service, cleanliness and attention to detail, hospitality be outstanding. I equate this to when I stay at Hyatts (Regency Club), Andaz, 4 Seasons and other upscale hotels. The customer service is superb and the owners and staff actually care about our inquiries and requests and accommodate us efficiently. I genuinely feel they want our vacation to be the best it can be.
The hotel is clean and very good value for the price. When you think about the importance of vacation time with family and having not to worry about your accommodations, food (whether onsite at the café or the staffs’ recommendations) and having the confidence that others at this motel are also courteous, friendly and family-oriented. We have found that the Aloha continues to attract new guests which become new friends, and returning guests and their families, which makes the atmosphere always warm, friendly and inviting.
We have only experienced one family that was the anomaly. The adults lounged around the pool and allowed the children of various ages to annoy everyone else at the pool with splashing them and being extremely rude to other guests, staff and even the owners. I was impressed, but not surprised that the owners tried to repeatedly and politely request the adults supervise their children and exhibit common courtesy. They actually told the owner that “They’re on vacation, and the children are just being kids”. They also invited children from the neighboring condo to swim and hangout at the Alohas’ pool, causing more chaos and these individuals taking up loungers and chairs that are for Aloha guests. Finally, they left and everyone new and repeat guests were relieved and appreciative.
In summary, if you are looking to visit the New Jersey Shore, and want to stay at a place that is guaranteed to be clean and friendly, and you are open to making new friends, then the Aloha is the place for you and your family. Also, we are three hours away and yet, we won’t consider any other NJ shore hotel other than the Aloha.

Room tip: All rooms are excellent but if you have trouble walking, just request a room on the ground floor

We have stayed there for 20 years. Always a great place for the children. Very friendly staff. This past week was the only time three families hogged the pool area with 5 noisy kids and they brought guest from the condo next door. With out paying for them. Glad they left. It returned to a very nice family place after they left. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly family atmosphere. Great breakfast and lunch area. Friendly staff.

Room tip: Enjoyed them all.

We arrived on July 3 for the holiday weekend. Had been offered early check in when I called to confirm our reservation. Arrived at 2pm and our room was ready. No elevator, and we were on the third floor, but that is normal for this area. Location is great, right across from the beach. Room was spotless, and AC was extra cold. Traveling companion has a bad back and is usually uncomfortable on hotel beds, but volunteered the comment after the first night that the bed was nice. Coffee shop is great for breakfast, you also go here for ICE, so make sure you fill up while they are open. Left dishes in the sink, and was surprised that the maid did them. The whole area is very quiet, I see other review complaining about "rules" but have never experienced anything except courtesy and friendliness from any staff.
This is our 4th or 5th trip here, and we will be back. Very expensive, or we would stay longer and come down more often.

Room tip: book early!!!!!
