What a great place to relax and enjoy a memorable time with our family! We enjoyed beautiful walks on the beach ( which was only blocks away), we barbecued on the porch every night, and hung out by the pool all week. There's even a big playground right around the corner for the kids. My family and I highly recommend that you book a stay at The Blue Moon Cottage in 2017!
And feel free to bring your dog, as this vacation rental is pet friendly!
A beautiful two bedroom renovated home with a fenced-in back yard and a pool. All of the conveniences of your home, but it's at the beach so you can enjoy all of your time relaxing either at the pool or walking on the beach.
During 2016, we stayed twice at the Blue Moon Cottage in north Cape May. Once in the spring, and once again in the early fall.
What is especially nice about the cottage is its lose proximity to various sites in the Cape May area.
For instance, it's only a few blocks from the cottage to the beaches along Delaware Bay. On these beaches, you can fish for striped bass, enjoy the sunshine and relax, or go for long walks either to the inlet towards the south or north to almost the horizon. These beaches are where you can see some of the best sunsets on the east coast.
About a mile from the cottage is a shopping center at which is the largest food market in the area. At this market, you can purchase the food supplies you'll need for your stay at the cottage.
Over the Cape May canal bridge brings you to a host of sites and restaurants in Cape May proper. Leave your diets at the cottage as the restaurant's menu are extensive while the prices range from medium to high. In most cases, the food arriving at your table should be excellent. It may be a good idea to bring along your larger eating pants when visiting these restaurants.
If you like seeing land from a boat, there are several sightseeing boats, which ply the waters of Delaware Bay or the ocean waters off Cape May Point. For those who prefer a longer boat ride, you can always hop onboard the ferries, which will whisk you from the Cape May canal to Cape Henlopen , on the Delaware coast. There are several shopping malls in the Henlopen area, so make sure that you bring your car as you travel onboard the ferry.
You don't have to travel to the far away beaches of Cape Cod, when it's a short ride down the Garden State Parkway to Cape May and the Blue Moon Cottage...enjoy!!
