Stayed one night due to flight being canceled. The Hilton was the closest hotel to EWR that was not sold out. You get to the lobby by taking an escalator from the ground level. A plus was the Jr. Suite had a spacious living area and the bed was super comfortable.
Otherwise, the property was tired, dark and has no energy. The hallways were dimly lit with worn carpeting. The bathroom was extremely small and old. The windows were drafty. On the higher floors the street noise is loud, although the noisy HVAC system will drown it out. The workout room, which is off of the lobby, was small and smelly. One of the benches had a torn cover. The onsite restaurant was completely full with stranded visitors. There are a few fast food options located in a walkway that is connected to the hotel. It was nice to at least not have to go outside to find food in the snow and cold. The employees were not overly friendly. There is no executive lounge. The breakfast tickets that were promised were never delivered to my room, although it did not matter as I ended up leaving in the early hours before breakfast started. Overall, it is not a good representation of Hilton and I would not recommend unless the hotel is completely remodeled.More
