We apologize for the height of the beds and the bathtubs. We try to equip all of our tubs with nonstick mats so it is not as slippery.
Our stay wasnt bad and the check in staff was very nice but reservations and event staff in the back of the house fell short over the course of our planning. The communication just wasnt there. Bar and breakfast is pretty pricey. $11 for a glass of wine and $17 for an average breakfast buffet.
We are very sorry you were disappointed with your experience. We pride ourselves in great service so we will be addressing the communication issues you mentioned with our staff and find ways to add value to our food and beverage offerings. Thank you for your feedback.
Stayed here for a recent business trip. Good stay overall, but a bit over priced for what was offered. I normally try to stay at a Hampton Inn when travelling, and frankly, they are a FAR better value than Double Tree. No free breakfast here and an obscene amount of money, $15 per head, for what Hampton gives me for free.
Room wise. Clean and comfortable but nothing outstanding. I'd stay here again if in the area as out of the other choices, it seemed the best I could find.
Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it! We are constantly looking to improve our quality and service and will bring up your concerns about breakfast to hotel management. We are happy you enjoyed your stay otherwise and hope to see you again soon if you are in the area!
We stayed here two nights as a home base for a Shore exploration. Check-in in was smooth and friendly.
Our room was on the "Hilton Honors" floor - the 5th floor. There is a small lounge with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks on this floor - a nice amenity. Our king room was clean and very comfortable. Sleep quality was excellent, the HVAC, often a bane in these places, was relatively quiet, didn't cycle too much and was pretty accurate. We heard no noises from other guests - even though the hotel was full with a wedding party. There was a convenient charging block on the left side of the bed. The room also contained a refrigerator and a safe. We did not use the small in-room coffee maker. (The Keurig in the lounge was better, and there was also free coffee available in the lobby.)
The standard Doubletree bathroom was also clean and in excellent condition. Bathroom amenities were fully replaced. The towels were fine - might have liked four but we made do with three.
Breakfast was our sole disappointment. The breakfast is entirely self-serve - the coffee, in an urn on the bar, was pretty good. The cold bar was limited, a few pastries, bread for tasting, yogurt, some fruit. The hot bar held lukewarm scrambled eggs, overcooked sausages, bacon, pancakes and quartered waffles. None of these were very good. There was no option for fresh cooked eggs or an omelet. I have enjoyed better breakfasts at other Doubletrees. We skipped the hotel breakfast our second day - and had a pastry from the Honors lounge and lobby coffee.
The parking lot is large, but there is a keycard access door if you want to enter from the rear.
We did not use the fitness center and outdoor pool.
Overall this was a good hotel for our purposes and had breakfast been better, I would give five stars.
Thank you for all of the feedback, we appreciate it! We are pleased that you had such a positive stay with us, and sincerely apologize about the breakfast bar in the morning. We are always trying to constantly improve our service, and will bring your concerns up with management and kitchen staff to try to make the breakfast more enticing to future guests. We hope to see you again soon!
We have stayed here more than once while visiting family. It is in a great location - easy to get to if you are visiting Tinton Falls, Asbury Park and the surrounding area. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Thanks so much! We are glad to hear you had a pleasant and convenient stay with us.
Had a great time at the Doubletree. We booked two rooms and asked they be placed closed to each other. Finally dragged ourselves in after 11 PM from a very long day. The check-in folks were fantastic. They gave us an upgrade to the best suites since we were staying 3 days. The rooms were great, with good black-out blinds and AC cold enough to hang meat in. The shower was huge with great water pressure. Beds were firm, the pillows were a little small but comfortable. One room had a table so it made it convenient to eat a couple of meals we had ordered in.
The bar was rocking when we checked in with lots of events going on through the weekend. We didn’t avail ourselves of breakfast, but room service one day was prompt. They let the delivery guys up to the rooms when we ordered outside food which was convenient for us. In spite of all the events and large parties there, the hotel was quiet. Housekeeping was inconspicuous, never too early, however there we found bobby pins everywhere on the carpet when we checked in, which was odd.
We would absolutely make this our hotel for our next stay in the area. Look forward to a return.
Thank you so much for your feedback, we appreciate it! It is wonderful to hear how well your stay with us went. We will be sure to let hotel management and staff know of the positive comments. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
