It's not enough to say a place is "unique" or "authentic" because those are not necessarily *good* things, haha! But Cedar Haven was wonderful. We were there for a business retreat with a friend/partner, and we had plenty of space to work and enjoy ourselves, too. It was a cold and blustery February week, but the house stayed cozy with the gas fireplaces going and space heaters where needed. We loved the 19th century feel of the house, but wherever it needed to be modern (wi-fi, appliances) we didn't feel at all like we were roughing it. The decor and furniture were also "unique in a good way," eclectic but harmonious and comfy...just a pleasant space to be in! A great deal of care went into restoring this house, and it shows. Ron's communications were very helpful, and Todd next door was there to greet us as we were unpacking, to answer our questions and give us more useful info about the house and the area. When we needed to arrange to stay an extra day, we were able to do that by phone without any trouble. All in all, Cedar Haven was everything we needed it for, and it charmed our socks off. We just might have to return someday during beach season!
