We live in Clifton NJ and go to Cape May every chance our family gets, usually doing day trips or staying at Atlantic City. This is the third time we stayed in Cape May, and first time stay at Carroll Villa. Our kids loved CV. The location was very good—-right there by Washington Mall. We had room 6 which was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was nice and we had a small refrigerator with complementary water bottles. Our kids stayed in the room with King bed and me and my husband stayed in the 2nd room with the queen sofa bed. I loved the old victorian feel with the modern day convenience of big flat screen TV and ductless split heating. The restaurant was nice and it was very convenient for us as it was just on the first floor. Hotel guests got seated fast. I saw people lining up by the sidewalk waiting for their seats. Breakfast was so good. My 13 y.o. who was a picky eater ate all his Belgian waffle. We had afternoon hot cocoa after birdwatching by the lake in Lake Drive. Guests got 30% off from their meal and we used our $30 voucher towards breakfast. The hotel did not provide parking —we parked in the street. It was easy as it was low season and the meters were off. I don’t think there was an elevator. Our room was on the second floor. Not a problem for us, but it might be a challenge for people who cannot tolerate climbing the stairs. All in all a very good experience—-the staff was excellent, especially the lady I booked our room with, Pamela. We’d love to stay at CV again maybe sometime during low season like this—-I imagine it could get pricey during peak season. If you should stay at CV especially midwinter, you will have to try their hot cocoa and carrot cake—delicious!❤️Gonzalez Family of Clifton
