Nice rooms, clean property. Terrific staff. Convenient to the beach, but a little bit away from most restaurants and shopping.
Limited beach service (They have very comfortable beach chairs, no umbrellas, not sure about towels as we brought our own). We brought our own umbrella and rented more on the beach (12 or 13$/day). Food service on the beach was very good (not cheap, but generous and quick, and not related to the hotel).
Small pool.
Limited parking at the hotel but helped by free Valet service (street parking behind the hotel is free and nearby).

Room tip: Most rooms have a angled ocean view. A few (directly in front) have a full ocean view. All rooms are quiet.

The hotel is a little older but was very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. location was great, right across from the beach and easy walk to downtown Cape May. yes, not enough parking spaces but found street parking (free) right behind hotel. Had least expensive king room so had street view. Would stay again.

The Icona Cape May is located right across from the city beaches. A perfect place to go for families looking to enjoy quaint Cape May and it's beaches. The staff were attentive and accommodating, the room was spotless and luxurious. If you're interested in going to the Diamond Beach, you can use the facilities there. A great way to mix it up. While the latter beaches are a bit nicer, Cape May is a more interesting area to explore.

Room tip: The beach facing rooms are the nicest.

This is a great, great hotel. The staff are attentive, very welcoming and helpful. Our room was Very clean, Decor is on point, looks like a recent renovation. Parking is limited as there are less spots available on the property vs # of rooms at the hotel but in that case they have valets who will park your car in the surrounding neighborhood and bring you the keys with a map marking where they left your car so it works out. We had friends who found lodging near the center of town so we'd walk to meet them - It's a 1 mile (20 min walk) from Icona to the Washington Street Mall (Cape May Town Center) so needless to say my husband and I were clocking easily an average of 8 miles a day (it was good exercise) but for those who are not able to walk such distances, there is Uber and Lyft, there is also a local trolley that provides transport along the hotels and B&B's on Beach Avenue. The hotel provides beach service with chairs and will have some one take it to the beach and bring it on back for you so you don't have to lug it around. We opted to meet our friends on the beach closer to their hotel so we didn't take advantage of that amenity nor of the great little pool they had on the property-- Hoping we will next time we are there! We will absolutely return! Oh one more thing- the bedding was so comfortable I ended up buying pillows from them for my own home. Absolutely a awesome stay- would highly recommend.

Room tip: We had the top floor with a partial view of the Ocean - I imagine the suite at the front facing the ocean has magnificent views.
