Description: The Coach House Restaurant is a unique experience in the charming town of New London, New Hampshire; located inside the historic New London Inn. Come enjoy exemplary cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Joshua Duda made from the finest ingredients available. The Coach House Restaurant’s name comes from the stagecoaches of 1790’s that would travel from Concord, New Hampshire to the town of New London. They would park at the windows that you see along the side of the restaurant’s main dining room. The Sargent room is named for one of the original families that owned the New London Inn.

Hadn’t been to the Coach House for about 2 years as it was merely okay. Much to our surprise, we had to pick between 2 times for dinner as they were that booked. Our waiter, Thomas, could not have been nicer. I had the special, cod and crab cake with an arugula salad that was fabulous! My dining companion had the roasted scallops which he said were the best ever. Since it was his birthday, he had the peach and blueberry crisp that was presented with a candle! We’ll be back.

The Coach House Restaurant could rival any eating establishment in New York, San Francisco or Charleston, SC.! It is that good. We started with a crab and roasted corn soup which was so rich and delicious that it was hard to believe that it was served at an inland restaurant and not one on the water. Also, a special of the day was a potato gnocchi with thinly sliced mushrooms that was beyond belief. Our entrees were just as tasty as I had a tuna poke which came in half or full size in a delicious soy sauce and my husband had a small Caesar salad which he said was extremely tasty. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the over-all appearance of the restaurant was pleasing and charming. This place is the real deal, particularly if you are a foodie!

We had a fairly large group of 12 that had another memorable meal. The service was very good and the kitchen timed all of our meals very well. The scallops were great. A very good reasonable wine list. The appetizers were interesting but, as hard as it is to admit, the truffle fries will persist in a favorite section of our memories

We stayed in the New London Inn, which strangely enough isn’t listed on Trip Advisor. This is their restaurant where we had the breakfast, which is included in the price. The food was excellent, as was our server Mary. We both had the egg omelette, and were impressed with the other choices. Look forward to having dinner here in the future. Will definely stay at the Inn again as well.

Fresh fruit, vegetable omelet, homemade bread, juice, coffee, tea, and large portions, at a table by a sunny window.
