I usually order the same dish, elmuolcajete! It is amazing and must be shared. Usually have leftovers to take home, also. Drinks are very good. Service on point and atmosphere authentic. Table service, fresh guacamole is a treat as an appetizer or a quick, light snack with a drink.

We came here a few times when it first opened and were really impressed. Everything was spot-on and professional. Maybe it's success, but the food and the service don't seem to be what they were. It's still passable, but not the star it used to be.

Please consider the source in this opinion. I came as a visitor from Texas, so tastes at home are a little different.

The good: nice portions. Flavorful if mild salsa. Well-prepared beans and rice. Carnitas were juicy and had just the right amount of crisp edge. Veggies were fresh. Service was very attentive.

The just ok: very mild. Other than a few jalapeños thrown on top, not much spice in the meat. Luckily the table was stocked with the right sauces to adjust to my tastes: Yucateco, Tapatío, and so on.

The family who runs this place appears to be from Jalisco, so it's possible they're just catering to local tastes with the mildness. After all, this is clam chowder country, and there's nothing wrong with that.

We went on a Thursday night and sat in the bar. The bar is on the small side and was very loud. It looked like there was some sort of business party where old guys were trying to pick up drunk women half their age. Anyway, the bartender made good drinks but seemed to disappear for stretches of time. My brother lives in Merrimack and I mentioned this to him and he described the guy to me asking if it was the same person. I said yes and he said they've had the same issue there. Still, the food was very good and my friend got the crispy tacos she likes as most places seem to serve soft tacos. We'll go back again and maybe sit in the restaurant side to see how that goes. It's not the restaurant's fault about the loud people, but it diminished the experience none the less.
