Place is in a strip mall environment, oddly has a sister restaurant "Nuevo Vallarta" within a stones throw..hmmm. Think people are wanting more Mexican in Manchester?
The place was pretty full, the hostess was very nice, wait was not bad on a Saturday night.
Ambiance is more festive than La Carreta and I liked that. The bar looked fun as well.
Plenty of parking spaces out front.
The food was above average for NH, about average in terms of authentic west coast or better "Mexico" cuisine. We had the fajitas and they gave you more than enough, no skimping on this dish! The sides were all decent proportions and tasty.
We also tried a couple dips, the Queso / Chorizo (which I liked) and the bean dip which my wife enjoyed more. The chips and salsa were complimentary and easy on the stomach which I appreciated.
The level 3 margarita included 1800 Silver which is decent, added a few things to make it better and for 12.50 I had a Margarita I'd make for myself only larger! Good tasting and great price for the size.
The service was where they need work. The server was excellent at first, spoke broken english but understood everything we asked for very well. Then he slowly started to disappear. I have seen this many times in Mexican restaurants owned by Mexican families and sometimes I think its how their meals go. You spend more time talking and enjoying each-other so they stay out of your hair. As a picky American, I like service, some napkins when I need them, perhaps a drink refill a little sooner or a water.
I will definitely go back and I would just remind the server to keep checking on us.
