Recently took the evening dinner MS Dixie cruise. The trip was very nice. Beautiful scenery, live music, very nice staff, bartender was cool as heck, got a little gift shop, and then to top it off, you get a very nice three course meal, salad, bread, choice of steak and salmon. Dessert was a cheesecake. They had chicken strips and fries for kids. I would strongly recommend you get "second seat". Dinner is two different seatings. Reason is you can enjoy the beautiful sun, clear day view, when it is not so cold. Second seat also has fewer people. Then you get to see the sunset and it is not cold up on deck. It is a great experience for a family or even individually. Lastly, get your tickets at a casino. You will get the AAA price. Instead of 95, we paid 85 per person.
