Owner description: Rock formation with natural basin of water in Valley of Fire State Park.
Reviewed 2 April 2018 via mobile

It wasn’t a challenging hike other than walking through sand but the end is rather anticlimactic. It kind of looked like a mud puddle in the rock. From what I could tell you couldn’t even climb down to get a good photo of it. We did see a couple of cool birds along the trail. This is a very popular family friendly trail and there were a lot of people there. There were restrooms at the trailhead. I literally had to take my shoes off three times during the hike to empty the sand.

Love this trail! Petroglyphs, a lot of large holes in the rocks to sit in. Plenty of places to take pics.

This was my favorite Hike/Walk in the Valley of Fire State Park.
It's a relatively easy flat hike with a vast array of really impressive Petroglyphs.
Definitely walk all the way to the end and look up to the right and you'll see a pretty nice natural arch.
This is most certainly a must visit if in the area

Easy hike. Lots of petroglyphs. Beautiful. We went just after a rain so the rank actually had water in it.

Probably the most popular hike in the park. It's 1.4 miles round trip, and is easily accessible for most people. Hike through a small canyon to see "Mouse's Tank", a crater that usually contains a vital source of water for desert animals. See ancient petroglyphs carved into the rock walls, and maybe even some wildlife.
