Not holding up too well. Was here for a nearby business conference, was not impressed. The higher floors were shabby. Need paint and spackle work badly. Leaks in ceilings...? Nice theme but let's keep it up.

Unless you are staying here to really save money, or catching a show here, you won't miss anything by skipping the Luxor. Nothing special, somewhat drab compared to your other Strip options. Now, the shows they typically host aren't bad, and if you are at the Mandalay, MGM, or NYNY casinos for shows, stays, or gambling, you can find some low $$ tables to gamble on. But I wouldn't care to hang around long before or after seeing the show(s).

We were comped 2 nights stay at this location and thoroughly enjoyed the casino area although the drink service was often slacking with us having to chase after waitresses and waiting more than expected for our drinks.

Overall, decent experience but most certainly experienced better service and variety at other locations on the strip and on Fairmont St.

If staying in the hotel, the rooms are spacious but could certainly use updating.

First off, don't stay in the pyramid its like a glorified motel 6, I never have but Ive seen the inside of the rooms.
The Tower suites are amazing, the price upgrade makes the trip worth it modern and very nice and spacious. However the walls and doors are thin so you can hear almost every noise outside the room through out the night. They seem to have an issue with overbooking, or room shortages. My last stay I requested high floor 1 bedroom suite west facing. When I checked in they did not have that available, yet I called the day before to confirm. The check in staff did make sure I got a decent room however, but for being a MGM gold member I expected some comps for the booking issue. I got none.
Typical loud atmosphere smoky atmosphere, the parking is awful on the weekend, poor parking control on Luxors part. But again I typically uber everywhere, but being at the end of the strip its nice because if you do drive somewhere its pretty quick in and out. Food is nothing special, so InNout is nice to have 10 min away. To be honest with the resort fees and the room pricing structure you can stay at Park MGM and be walking distance to some amazing places as it being in city center. Value is meh, considering again... Park MGM is priced the same for MGM M Life members essentially. Defiantly better options. But the aesthetic of Luxor is pretty cool.
