“Premium excellent finest unbelievable!”
Reviewed 26 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This by far is the best place we have all ever stayed while visiting Glacier. We have been coming every year since 1971 and have stayed at some pretty nice places but this place tops them all. We were in the Sinopah....we watched a Grizzley mom and her two cubs romp all over the mountain for three days. The best entertainment ever. When you come....all you need is a change of clothes...that's it. Everything is furnished...EVERYTHING! I loved the owners....I wished I would have had them over for dinner ❤️. This is our place from now on...

“Perfect”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Our stay at the Lone Elk Lodge could not have been more perfect! We stayed in the Sinopah unit which had three bedrooms- plenty of room for the four teens / young adults we brought with us in addition to my husband and I. Each bedroom had its own bathroom so there was plenty of privacy and convenience. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped - even fully stocked with seasonings and a few staples. Leslie had thoughtfully prepared some delicious gluten-free cookies to welcome us (as if the beautiful lodge was not welcoming enough!) We were within 10 minutes of the Two Medicine entrance to Glacier Park so were even able to prepare lunch in between hikes and lake activities in the morning and afternoon. The weather in East Glacier was pretty unpredictable at the time that we went so we had to keep our plans flexible... pack for a wide range of weather if you're staying in early June! We were glad we had rain gear and even wished we had brought gloves, hats, and down jackets so that we could hike in the Many Glacier area on a very cold day.

“Amazing place!”
Reviewed 7 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We spent three nights here at the start of our Montana/Canada winter adventure and couldn't recommend it enough!
Leslie and Carl are wonderful and friendly hosts and the Two Medicine (two person cabin) was everything we could need. The kitchen was well equipped and the cabin was spacious and very comfortable.
Easy Glacier was a great place to explore Glacier National Park from; the local shop is open long hours and has everything you could need for your stay, and the diner next door has great pie!
Overall we had a great time and would definitely like to return.

“Doesn't get much better than this!”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Our party, which included 4 adults and 2 children, spent 5 nights in July in the Summit condo. Leslie was very accommodating from the moment we first contacted her to inquire about the lodge until we checked out. She was extremely helpful in deciding which condo would work best for us. The summit was perfect! Very cozy, yet large enough for everyone to have some space. The condo was clean, well decorated, and maintained. The delicious cookies were a hit with everyone after a long day of driving from Yellowstone. Leslie provided outstanding directions and is extremely knowledgeable of the park and trails. She never led us astray! The house is a great home base for exploring Two Medicine, St. Mary, and Many Glacier. Due to the wildfire, we were unable to explore much of the St. Mary area so we drove to West Glacier via Rte 2 one day. Roundtrip makes for a long day, but worth it. The Lodge really is a great location when you consider how much territory the park covers. The beautiful landscaping and inviting backyard provided peaceful retreats at the end of long days. No regrets! Hope to be able to stay here again in the future.

“Marvelous vacation!!!”
Reviewed 14 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Our far-flung family of sixteen (ranging in age from 12 to 82) rented three of Lone Elk Lodge’s units – Sinopah, Rising Wolf and Summit – for our annual week-long summer vacation. In past summers we have rented one very large house but having the three neighboring condos worked wonderfully well. Each unit is so attractive, well supplied with necessities and very clean. The kitchens were all well stocked - not only with plates, pots, pans, etc. - but with basic condiments and a starter supply of tea and coffee as well as other miscellaneous pantry items. Plus it was great having the outdoor grills!

With the three condos we had a total of 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms (never ran out of hot water!) so there was plenty of space, and we were able to gather in the largest unit for dinner each evening. Lone Elk Lodge sits on a large parcel of land and is very private and in a good location very near East Glacier. We knew that we would be doing a lot of driving each day to get to the different areas of Glacier National Park where we wanted to hike. Lone Elk Lodge was a great location allowing us to get to nearby Two Medicine, then up to St. Mary as well as Many Glacier and then over to the west entrance to the Lake McDonald area depending on the day. We tried to cover as many areas as possible including two trips on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Our hosts were quick to answer questions prior to our visit and were available if needed while we were there - but never intrusive. It was a lovely stay for all of us.
