Wedged between historic neighborhood townhomes, you will find Eleven Eleven Mississippi, a most special in town stop for lunch or brunch. We were first time visitors to the area in Sept and were welcomed by sun splashed yellow awnings that infused the open, lodge-like eatery with a warm hue. The menus are very creative and we wish we would have had two more days to come back to sample. We did savor the lunchtime featured Oak Roasted Mussels, garnished with bacon, garlic and an ample serving of cilantro pesto. The Lobster BLT is not to be missed, as a tasty concoction of bourbon apples, chunks of Maine lobster, thyme remoulade and watercress sprouts. The Grilled Pork Tenderloin is topped with a bourbon cranberry glaze and features tasty accompaniment - sweet potato swiss chard gratin. Meal presentations at Eleven Eleven are as pleasing to the eye as they are to your pallete - be sure not to miss it if you are on your way to historic Lafayette Square or the Southard Marketplace.
