Wedged between historic neighborhood townhomes, you will find Eleven Eleven Mississippi, a most special in town stop for lunch or brunch. We were first time visitors to the area in Sept and were welcomed by sun splashed yellow awnings that infused the open, lodge-like eatery with a warm hue. The menus are very creative and we wish we would have had two more days to come back to sample. We did savor the lunchtime featured Oak Roasted Mussels, garnished with bacon, garlic and an ample serving of cilantro pesto. The Lobster BLT is not to be missed, as a tasty concoction of bourbon apples, chunks of Maine lobster, thyme remoulade and watercress sprouts. The Grilled Pork Tenderloin is topped with a bourbon cranberry glaze and features tasty accompaniment - sweet potato swiss chard gratin. Meal presentations at Eleven Eleven are as pleasing to the eye as they are to your pallete - be sure not to miss it if you are on your way to historic Lafayette Square or the Southard Marketplace.

Visiting our son at WashU and spent a night at this restaurant. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing. The restaurant was really busy and so it was hard to hear at times - hence the 4 stars.

We wanted to try something new for our son's graduation dinner. After doing some research we decided to try 1111 Mississippi. This place exceeded our expectations. They had a really nice menu (with many good options) along with a good wine list. It's just too bad we ended up finding this place after he finished his degree vs. when we first arrived in town.

They take reservations and you need one as this place gets busy. It was pretty cool inside too as there were multiple levels and seating areas. We ate upstairs near the open kitchen. The service was very good. They have a good team and we never had to ask for water once. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. She helpped direct us and we were all pleased with our sections. My only complaint was the shrimp and grits appetizer could have used another shrimp or two for the price as the portion size was a tad smaller than expected. Everything else was right.

They start you off with some warm bread along with an olive oil and Parmesan cheese for dipping. We also liked their willingness to allow you to change out your sides without any fuss. They get it and care about making the customer happy.

I would certainly put this on our list and go back if we are ever in town again.

This is one of my wife's favorite restaurants. We have been here a handful of times in the past, and have never been disappointed. We had dinner on a Thursday evening for her birthday. The restaurant was not full, but a good number of patrons were in attendance. About right for a weeknight. Our meal was very good. We both had a drink first, and then our meal. My wife had the Salmon, and I had the ribeye stake. Both cooked to perfection. We followed up with the flourless chocolate cake. We are chocoholics, and this one was very good. I highly recommend it. It was also good to see that the manager came around to every table to see how everyone's meal was.

Loved the atmosphere. Very intimate. The food was different and excellent. All delicious. Stopped here for dinner before a show at the Fox and I will definitely be back.
