My friend who lives in Lafayette Square suggested we walk to dinner to pre-burn our dinner calories so we chose PW Pizza since it was close and pizza can punch some serious calories to burn (not to mention we read great reviews). We started with their three cheese spinach artichoke dip which was a large portion of hot gooey goodness served with toasty pita chips; one serving can easily serve 4 as an app. The best I've ever eaten! My friend chose their Wolf Pizza, she was in the mood for a meat pizza and it was very good. The crust was crispy and the toppings were adequate - just wish there were a bit more toppings. I loved that the server offered fresh grated parm cheese to top off our pizza, of course we accepted and asked for lots! The décor is rustic casual/relaxing and altho it appeared that a lot of diners were finished w/ their meals, the servers didn't rush anyone out the door; which was refreshing.

We picked the PW because of the reviews and the entire family was pleased. Our waitress Sarah made some wonderful suggestions, the Wolf, Shrimp -- Chicken and they all worked well. One pizza will serve two people . We got 5 and had to force down the last two pieces. Sure We will be back

After reading others reviews I had high hopes of an unforgettable pizza. We tried the Wolf and another at our table had the Porky sandwich. While everything was good it was no better than many and not as good as others. The toppings were nice but much of the pizza had nothing other than the crust showing. Certainly good but not worth the price. The sandwich again was good and looked huge but there seemed to be too little meat and overloading on the slaw. Add a small salad which was very nice and split between two of us, two glasses of wine and a beer and the tab with tip was $65. Just not worth the expense though everything was ok. Service by the way was quite good and server was very congenial.
