As a Catholic I attended holy Mass then joined the Novena prayers to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, prayerfully strolled the aisles to gaze at the beautiful holy scenes depicting "HIS Story" and visited the gift shop and facilities to round out my visit. Thank you St Louis for such a beautiful place.May I humbly strive to draw ever closer to our God of Love Mercy & Justice and bring HIS Light to our hectic cell-phone angry world. May all who visit leave inspired to do the same. Changing one soul at a time so to change the face of the earth.

WOW, they weren't kidding about the mosaics being as good as some of the Cathedrals in Italy. Beautiful church. They had a wonderful museum downstairs that told about how the mosaics were done. Well worth a visit.

This cathedral is gorgeous. We unfortunately didn’t have enough time to take a tour, but were able to take a quick look. Their website had a list of times for services, confession, tours, and when to come in and look around.

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis has millions of tiny tiles expertly installed by artisans making a beautific Catholic Cathedral.

The Church itself is inspiring, starting with the roof which is visible for miles. Inside, it is impossible to not be overwhelmed by the artistry. The mosaic designers and installers outdid themselves.

In the lower level, there is a mosaic museum. The exhibits explain how the tile designs were made and then installed. Don't miss the museum ($2 suggested donation). One thing I learned is the the gold tiles are all installed at slightly different angles using a sharp tipped device so that there is always a reflection from them no matter where the light is.

There was plenty of on street parking on a Wed afternoon. No hats for men. Respectful behavior expected as this is a place of Catholic worship.
