Visited here five years ago.The current owners have made considerable improvements.
They have created a lovely light and welcoming pub atmosphere. A warm and informative welcome from the Landlady . An excellent lunchtime menu, good value and catering for most tastes and appetites. Will be making a point of revisiting !

We came here today for lunch with our two young children, lovely village pub and very welcoming, very pleased they served childrens meals, the portions are really good. We all enjoyed the food, the chips are amazing. Will definitely be coming back again.

My local pub! Always top notch food, whether it be pub classics, or something a bit more refined. A warm welcome, for adults, children and dogs. Lovely roaring fire, great views and very reasonably priced. You're doing a great job Joanne and Tom.

Beautiful looking village pub with commanding views over the green, duck pond, and the Welland valley beyond.
Loads of parking and plenty of outside seating with great vistas.
The interior of the pub lacks any defining architectural features and the distinctly rectangular room is a bit dull. They do, however, have more pictures on the ceiling than on the walls which is quite unusual, and a small shrine to local history.
The locals seemed very friendly as was the chap behind the bar.
Food and drink choices are as you would expect to find from similar establishments but all served without fault and a bit of finesse. The chips are spectacular.

Lovely pub in a beautiful village location. Staff very friendly and helpful and food served fresh. We had cheese and pickle sandwiches on brown bread with chunky chips and salad. Next time we will try the hot food because we arrived just before they were finishing service and didn't want to hurry our lunch.
