Very tasty with a healthy dash of southern hospitality. Makes you feel like a local. The catfish breading is crisp with a mystery ingredient in the batter! The atmosphere is not fancy but authentic and after all, you are eating catfish. Stopped here because of the name frankly. The Crossroads story about Robert Johnson and the Delta Blues story makes Clarksdale a must see for music lovers. You probably wouldn't give your soul for the catfish and hushpuppies, but you would consider it!

This is a market/restaurant serving catfish dinners, ribs, etc. Had the catfish dinner with fried okra and hushpuppies. The food is good if you enjoy thin fried catfish as I do. If you want thicker cut, go to Ground Zero. There are a couple tables with chairs if you prefer to dine in. Prices are very reasonable.

This place is one of Clarksdale's best kept secrets. It is a family run business, being operated by second and third generations. The location is perfect, less than a block from the famous crossroads & it's a MUST if you are visiting Clarksdale, or for a once a week lunch fix if you're local, like me. It is not a really fancy place, but it is clean & has recently been undergoing renovations.

THE FRIED CATFISH IS LIKE NONE OTHER IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES. This place has single-handedly turned me into a catfish snob. I don't even bother ordering it anywhere else anymore because after YEARS of trying, I have learned that nobody can match this catfish perfection. I don't know if it's the batter or the cook, but it is the best you will ever taste.

I always get a 2 piece meal that comes with fries & cole slaw, but I prefer to substitute fried okra for the fries. It is mainly a take-out style restaurant, but they have added seating & I recommend calling in your order ahead! It speeds things up quite a bit, because everything is cooked when you order.

I can't say enough good things. Don't miss this staple at the Crossroads when you're in town.
