“Old School dining and a must visit for great fried shrimp!”
Review of Ramon's

Ramon's
Ranked #19 of 46 Restaurants in Clarksdale
Cuisines: American
Description: This is a hidden jewel in Clarksdale! Ramon's is very homey and off the beaten path down in a neighborhood, but it has the best fried shrimp and spaghetti around. They serve a dish of fried chicken livers and spaghetti. Dinners come with a salad. Everything is fresh and tasty and the service is very southern and friendly.

This place is right out of the past with great local food. Fried shrimp is their special dish and it is good! Not much to see from the outside but a whole different world when you enter. Family run and operated with real class, they make you feel like family when you show up. You can bring your own wine! If you have a large group make a reservation as this place is popular! Nothing fancy except the hospitality so dress down if you wish.

There were 7 of us in Clarksdale for the weekend before going to Memphis for the International Blues Competition. We were looking for a new restaurant to try and decided to stop at Ramon's on a Saturday night. When we walked in we were asked if we had reservations - we didn't and told them we were from out of town and didn't know we needed them. "No problem" we were told by an elder gentleman and within a few minutes we were taken to the back room were a table was set up to accommodate us. The room was packed with locals out for the night. Food was very good as well as the service. Try the catfish, Cuban sandwich and the onion rings. BYOB and make reservations if it's a Saturday night. Not fancy but a popular local family restaurant.

For the money this place has the Best fried shrimp, spaghetti and meat balls, frog legs, blackened grouper, onion rings and ravioli in town. Get there early. Brown bag, they do sell beer.
