We visited Mystic Clue with not knowing what to expect. We thought maybe it would be for kids so we chose "The innocent" which is one of their hardest rooms. We soon realized this was not for kids due to the difficulty. It was just the two of us in the room so it was a good challenge. We got hints a few times as we got stuck. They did not give you the answer but would give you a clue to work out. Would definitely go again and try a different room.

Mystic clue is fun for the clued in people

My family and i have been to mystic clue on 3 occasions and now ready to complete our fourth soon. All of the rooms so far have been challenging at different levels however my wife and i tend to work best without any extra help.
We have managed to complete 2 of the three rooms to date without too many hints and look forward to the challenge of this new room.
Go and try it especially if you can get it on scoopon its worth it!!

Great team bonding event. We were a group of eight in the innocent room. It was a real challenge and it made us think outside the box. If you like a challenge you will enjoy it, can be frustrating, be patient

Went there on a Monday afternoon as a team bonding thing we do within our workplace. We had 8 people and Did the innocent room. Previously we went to freo and Did the escape room there and gosh the innocent is so much harder.
We had to ask for help 3 times and what is good is the person does not give you the answer but a hint so you still need to figure it out...though at some stage we thought we had finish and another room opened and we had to rush to finish before we ran out of time : it was very chaotic and madness at the end but we all had a good laugh and would highly recommende it

Two adults and two kids went to do 'The Innocent' which is the hardest room they had.

I called them earlier to enquire about the rating, as I was bringing two boys ages 11 and 13 and didn't want it to have any adult themes. The person on the phone was very helpful and assured me that this would be fine, and he was right.

We managed to escape the room in 63 mins with two adults and two kids. The kids and the adults all did about equal work, too! Some of the puzzles need physical ability, some need powers of observation, some need lateral thinking and some need good old problem solving. The puzzles are a good level of difficulty, we only had to ask the staff for one clue (There's a button on the walkie talkie that you press and the staff will come to you) and it turned out we were very close anyway to figuring it out, we just needed one more clue from the staff member.

The only issue is, when you go in, you don't know how many rooms or anything there are so you don't know how long to you have to do each puzzle! Obviously you do it as fast as you can anyway, but you're not sure when you're taking too long on any one puzzle.

Also, I would not go with more than 4 people because the first of all it will be very cramped and second of all, too many cooks spoil the broth. The more heads that are thinking is sometimes a downfall because everyone has their own idea of trying combinations for locks or figuring out a puzzle, it could get very frustrating if you're under time pressure and everyone is trying to do their own idea.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and thought the difficulty level was very good and the puzzles were very clever.
