Went with another couple had a great time we did the innocent room . how clever ... we escaped with only 2 min to go. The staff were very friendly and gave us a few clues when we got stuck with out giving us the answers. Give this place a go if you want some fun and something different to with you time .we will be back to the other rooms

My family and i have been to mystic clue on 3 occasions and now ready to complete our fourth soon. All of the rooms so far have been challenging at different levels however my wife and i tend to work best without any extra help.
We have managed to complete 2 of the three rooms to date without too many hints and look forward to the challenge of this new room.
Go and try it especially if you can get it on scoopon its worth it!!

Booked a Scoopon to try Mystic. Would not pay full price for these rooms.
The location is very easy to get to.

The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful, though the room (Innocent) feels like they have tried too hard and missed the climax and the ending to what could have been an awesome experience.
The clues were a tad tricky-and quite clever - hats off to who thought up some of those- but needed more clues and more "flow" to the story.

One part of the room was broken which we were told about prior-it didn't effect much-glad were told beforehand.

For clues- the staff enter the room- which I feel loses the "escape " feel - so impersonal. If a few of these minor things improved I would consider doing another room but in the interim I'd rather not.

Looking for something to do, my brother and I decided to try doing an escape room/challenge. We had never tried an escape room/challenge before and discovered Perth has so many different escape room places (some of which were only open on weekends). It was a weekday and I found 2 available escape room sites for us-Mystic Clue was the closest so we picked that one and chose 'The Innocent' escape room as it sounded the most interesting. The Sherlock room also sounded interesting but was unfortunately already booked out that day.

We arrived around 5mins before our booked time and was taken straight to the room. Before entering the room we were given a torch (as we were told it is fairly dark inside) and a walkie talkie to call for assistance if wanted. We then listed to a brief introduction for the room and escape challenge story setting by one of the staff members. We were then lead inside and the door closed and locked behind us.

We initially felt quite excited wondering what to expect but got frustrated a few times trying to work out some of the little clues and info provided and how to move on to the next part of the challenge. We didn't want to call for assistance but after many false attempts at solving some of the puzzles we decided it was the only way to move on. We weren't given a briefing on how to operate the walkie talkie but didn't take us long to work out how to use it. A staff member promptly comes to the room through a hidden one way entrance and checks how you are going. We explained to them what we were having trouble working out and what we had tried to solve it. Rather than giving us the answer or doing it for us, the staff member gave us additional clues and information to help us solve it ourselves. We really appreciated this as it still gave us the chance to solve each puzzle ourselves without having it done for us.

You are given 90mins to escape the room. As time went on we still hadn't escaped and continued having trouble solving some of the puzzles and working out the little amount of clues given so had to make a few calls for assistance. At one part there is a table with two different padlocks (one a combination lock and the other a key lock). We spent way too long working on one padlock only to later be told by staff member that we had been working on the wrong padlock first! Some note to point out which padlock to work on first at this table would have been appreciated as a lot of time was wasted here for us. Therefore, as the time went on we started having a staff member check on us regularly to help us move along faster in the room and going through the puzzles. Again this was done by giving us clues and more information as The Innocent room has barely any clues or information. Only 3 small brief notes of information along the way with very little clues. Again we appreciated getting more clues and information rather than the answer to each puzzle straight away. Nearly at the 90minute mark a staff member came in checking on us and solved one puzzle we could not work out as we were pushed for time and hadn't yet gotten to the last room of this escape challenge. Before entering the last room a staff member came in helping us work out how to unlock the 2nd padlock on the table and said they will allow us more time to complete the escape challenge even though the time had exceeded 90mins. I found this very courteous of them, allowing us the opportunity to complete the experience in full. Shortly after getting to the last room (with no information inside as to what to do in there) a staff member appeared letting us know the next group for The Innocent room would be arriving shortly and he will set up the start of the room for them. He asked for our walkie talkie which we gave him and told us he is happy for us to continue trying to escape the room. We were in the last room of this escape room challenge so weren't in the way of the next group for this room when they got started the challenge. Shortly before the next group arrived, the staff member came back to where we were and gave us a clue to start off in the room we were in (we had been stumped on how to work out the first part). We then worked out to how to the first part but weren't getting it done right. Think this is because we had been in 'The Innocent' room for nearly 2.5 hours and was just tired of it in the end. We had realised the next door to get out of the room was open and decided to just leave as we could still not complete the puzzle and had been in there for long enough. We had the walkie talkie taken off of us earlier for the next group so weren't able to call for help in that part of the challenge.

When we got to the reception counter the 2 staff members asked us how it went and we explained that we had worked out the answer to the 2nd last puzzle but had trouble proceeding with it. We checked the answer with the staff members who confirmed we had the right answer but had been putting the answer into wrong thing! Again, this is due to lack of information in the room which causes a huge loss and waste of time solving all the puzzles. The staff members then discussed with us what we would have found if we were able to proceed with the last puzzle and how to have worked it out. They did this so we would have known how the challenge would have finished. This was appreciated but it would have been better if we were able to see and do this ourselves while in the room. The lack of clues and information really impacts on your time in the room.

We then found out we were in one of their hardest rooms so for first timers to escape rooms we had thrown ourselves into the deep end of it. They mentioned 'The Innocent' room has barely and clues or information to make the room more challenging for customers. This does get you thinking but the lack of clues and information which would have been appreciated more in some parts, just ends up wasting time trying to solve some of the puzzles-especially when some puzzles needed to be solved in order before others.

We had fun at first but soon got bored and tired due to the trouble we had and lack of information/clues provided and also the long amount of time we spent trying to escape. The staff though were very courteous, caring, polite and helpful and we would love to do another escape room challenge. We have just learnt that first timers should not start off with one of the most hardest rooms as they really are challenging if you haven't done an escape room challenge before

We bought prior to reading other trip advisor reviews, then when I read the reviews prior to our booking I was really nervous.
I apologized in advance to my hubby (I bought the experience for him as a Christmas present) and the rest of our group (our 13yo and my 72yo Dad)- but I needn't have!
We had such a great time!!
We, apparently, picked a really difficult room for first timers but did really well... kind of... ha ha ha
Really stumped us at a few points but wow it was fun- everyone contributed and added something to the discovery and eventually we got out LOL
We'll be back!!
