Do not use Guest Reservations when making a reservation. This website is a scam, as are all their reviews. Unfortunately, I was not paying close enough attention when booking online, and the website link was very close to the actual hotel. AFTER I booked the receipt showed an upcharge of 70.00 that was not initially on the transaction. When I attempted to dispute it 5 minutes later they told me it was past the cancellation date, which was actually 2 days prior. How does that even make sense?!? I called them immediately. Anyway, avoid this website at all costs.

Great building in the heart of canal park that has private parking and is pet friendly! I loved seeing the history of it incorporated. Was a unique experience that I want to experience again. A front and back door, a nearly full kitchen and a private bedroom. Not used to this lol

Room tip: Watch for ships arriving, the roads are terrible then.

This hotel is in need of a refresh. Carpets are worn and stained, bathroom ceiling tiles are moldy/rusty and paint colors are hard on the eyes. Service is also lacking - could be a post-Covid shortage. We checked in on a Wednesday at about 5:30pm and our room (and many others) was not ready. We checked out Saturday and housekeeping had never once made it to our room. On the plus side we could walk just about everywhere.

Our 3rd time to Duluth and it didn’t disappoint. First time staying at this unique hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean. No windows but was just fine. One suggestion would be to have some type of mirror outside of the bathroom area. We did bring a fan to get the air circulation better in the room but overall very comfortable. We would recommend to stay here for any family couple business or just by yourself.

Room tip: Bring good walking shoes. You are close to a lot of activities

We were looking for a place to stay that was a pet friendly hotel. The reviews on BringFido suggested this would be acceptable for us. The location is right where all the action is at in canal park, and it was only a five minute walk to see the fireworks.

The hotel, on the other hand, was tolerable. Parking and check-in were efficient. The room was clean and well-appointed. The drawback was that for having two dogs based on where we were located for the room on the 2nd floor, on the complete opposite side of the building from the elevator. Once you got to the lobby, you had to walk out the back door, and go a half block to find a patch of grass. Luckily it was well lit in the grass and it was summertime, so I enjoyed (as well as my dogs) getting our steps in, but I couldn't imagine doing that in the winter. They allow dogs, but challenging for finding a place for your dogs to do their business.

The rooms were not quiet at all for sleeping. We heard partiers (couldn't tell you if they were up/down/left/right) that went until 3a in the morning and we could hear every shot they took and every beer can they crushed. Paperthin walls and appears to be a party hotel.

Apparently there is not regular housekeeping either. We had to go down to the front desk twice for towels, as our room only had 2 sets and the room was not made-up during our stay.

To end on a positive note, my 11 year old son absolutely loved the pool area. This is one of the better pool areas in the Twin Ports!

It worked for us for this stay, but will likely not be staying here again.

Room tip: Don't book a studio -- they are windowless
