we did tour the lighthouse, I'm not sure I would call it a tour but we did walk up the lighthouse tower and we walk around and looked at the area. we have enjoyed maybe seeing a little movie about the history of the place. grounds where kept clean. you could buy some gifts, been to quite a few lighthouses and this one was ok. but still worth passing some time by and seeing the lake and walking by the water. nicely kept up.

Access to light tower and maritime history in relics, photos, literature etc. A modest gift shop in the office upon entry. Beautiful victorian lighthouse / keepers home. Here every year, never tire of admiring it. Right at public beach so convenient for a daytrip / trip to the beach

My wife and I were trying to see several of the lighthouses along the coastal while on our trip. This lighthouse is tucked away, there is a charge to tour the lighthouse and climb to the top. Short climb not bad, great view. not much to see in the museum and the person onsite had zero personality.

If you are in the area and/or are interested in Lighthouses, this is well worth the stop. The lighthouse has interesting architecture. Please pay attention to the signs that warn you about poison ivy.

Of all the styles of architecture used in the design of Michigan lighthouses, this one is my favorite, so naturally I give it my highest rating. The grounds are equally attractive. For a small fee, you can tour the museum or climb the tower. Definitely one worth stopping for on your travels along Lake Michigan.
