The road out to the old mission lighthouse is lined mostly with huge mansions and impeccable gardens. Highway M37 terminates at the lighthouse- the only dead-end Highway I’ve ever been on. The LH itself is a modest building sitting just above a lively sandy beach. It was calm and seventy degrees when I was there, lovely for walking the beach and wading out through the sand. There are miles of shady trails all through the Old Mission Park - great for light day hikes. Bring a picnic and enjoy.
