Everywhere we went was busy and the Black Bull was no exception but the very pleasant lady in charge found us a spit after only a few minutes. We enjoyed a very reasonably priced two course lunch which was delicious and served by very courteous staff. Will return some night for an evening meal as the menu looked most appealing!

We visited Tarbolton for a 2 night stay and were fortunate to find this place on the first night and we promptly came back for the second!

Run by Mandy and her family we were made to feel very welcome right from the start. The restaurant and function room are very plush and comfortable and even having our small dog Harold, a space was found to accommodate us. There is a large selection of drinks on offer and the food menu offered a good variety of dishes, some standard fayre such as burger or fish and chips whilst others a bit different such as pigeon.

The quality of the products was first class and the taste was a tribute to the chef!

Thank you very much to the owners and staff for making us feel so welcome, something that was also shown by the pub regulars in the bar afterwards. This place is a real asset for the people of Tarbolton!

It was a worth coming off the A77 to visit this lovely place in an ancient Ayrhire Village. The food was a surprisingly delightful treat. well presented and quality ingredients. A perfect place for a small wedding. will go back to try the 6 course taster menu.

Menu was different to the usual run of the mill restaurants. Went for 2 dishes that i had never had before and they were absolutely delicious . Would be back in the future.

This was my first visit to the Black Bull. It was fantastic. We had a lovely greeting from the owner as we arrived and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend a visit. The surroundings are beautiful and the food was so good. I'd definitely go back.
