Spent lovely two nights at Rosendal, weather was cold by the room was well equipped and set up for cold weather. Staff were great and helpful. Only issue was the road to the venue from Senekal - but when fixed it will be a lovely place for a weekend getaway.
Went with my husband for a little weekend away and hd an awesome awesome time at this very peaceful and serene retreat. Love the minimalistic decor and overall atmosphere. The hotter is just the cherry on top. Bonnie and the staff were great hosts, highly recommended and I can not wait to go back once the roads are fully fixed.
I enjoyed my stay here, the drive was worth it. Bonni & her colleague were super helpful and friendly. The place is tranquil a moment to completely shut off.
When we visited The Rosendal Country Retreat for the first time, we immediately fell in love. The sense of peace you feel as you step out of your car is indescribable. We were greeted by friendly faces and immediately felt so at home! The rooms are absolutely beautiful, comfy and cosy – and the extra touch of freshly baked bread with farm butter and homemade jam in our room on arrival were the cherry on top!
That afternoon, the team had the woodfired hot tub ready for us, so we enjoyed sunset views overlooking the mountains! This is something that every visitor should do if given the opportunity.. It was the perfect way to end off the day! We got a chance to explore the town, meet the very friendly locals and enjoy all of the little charms that the town has to offer.
Rosendal brings us such joy, peace and happiness. The hospitality at the retreat is amazing – a big shout-out to both Marius and Bonnie! Our experience wouldn’t have been the same without them!
We ended up booking the venue for our wedding after our visit, because it is everything we had dreamed of for our big day! We can’t wait for many more visits to Rosendal and we are counting down the days to our wedding so that we can share this little slice of paradise with our loved ones!
We had such a delightful stay at the Rosendal. The refreshing country air and cooler evening temps meant we could go strolling around the little town. The local population were friendly and welcoming and the cafes and restaurants on offer locally did not disappoint. We self-catered and ate out in equal measure.
The room we stayed in was absolutely heavenly, with homemade beauty products that were absolutely divine. The peace and quiet was just what we needed for a rejuvenating weekend, as was the deep bath tub and comfortable bed.
Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, providing advice about local walking tracks and attractions and setting us up with a braai for our evening meals.
