The property was beautiful and well kept, it was so nice to sit on the deck and listen to the water with a cup of coffee. We needed to unplug for awhile and this was the place to do that. Walking in Oscoda's charming small town was great as was the food ( you have to try the Blue Iguana) and the other renters where great. We loved to sit by the lake during the day and enjoy the bonfire at night. Yes! we will be back. On the downside it was cold when we got there and the heat did not work at all.
The house itself is nicely set up. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the essentials of being at home, even extra pillows and blankets. It has its own private beach that you only share with the tenants on either side of you (there are 3 cabins total), a couple picnic tables, a fire pit, your own gas grill, several benches, and a couple swings. The view is stunning, set iin a quiet area. Although the road main road is close to the cabin...the noise from traffic was never an issue. The only problem we had was that when we arrived it was 85 degrees inside and even after several attempts to get it cooled off....it never dropped below 82 except when the nights were cooler and we had left every window open to cool off....we even went and bought a fan to put in the window. We were told the previous guests also had issues....and the tenants next to us were having problems with their air also. We would definately stay here again and were very happy with our experience (except for the air conditioner issue). Maintenance had come to look at the iair but it didn't solve the problem, so we just dealt with the heat. Did I mention the sunrise is amazing??? And star gazing at night is unbelievable!!!
