“Picture perfect cottage.”

Picture perfect cottage on a lovely old vineyard in the central Loire valley. The cottage itself looks like you imagine a French country cottage should - thick walls and exposed beams, comfy couches around a lovely fire place to relax around in the evenings and gorgeous sunsets from the outdoor seating area where there is a BBQ and which looks onto the pool. The owners are so welcoming and generous you feel at home straight away. They live on the property so key pick up is easy but the cottage is completely separate and private. The surrounding farmland is peaceful with a little village about 5 mins drive away for groceries. It's a convenient base to explore the Loire valley (being about 15 mins drive from Amboise),but the cottage is so lovely we opted to stay home one of the days just to enjoy being there!

“Top Rental, Hands down..”

We stayed at the cottage for a week in June and hands down best rental to date. From the very quiet location in the middle of the Vouvray vineyards, to the very warm welcome from Peter and Juliette who live right next door.
The rental is very well equipped 3 bedroom, two bath - tub/shower downstairs, shower upstairs, Kitchen has everything you need and more - from hob/oven, fridge, Nespresso machine and even welcome packet with a bottle of their own wine, jam and honey. Juice, water, milk, nespresso capsule, sugar, spices and goodies. Lovely basket with croissants and bread for breakfast on the first morning.
Welcome bouquet of roses on the dining table as well as lovely chocolates and roses next to the bed.
You can tell your hosts have put a LOT of thought into renovating this cottage. Homey interiors - with comfortable beds, comfy living space but it's the little things - like a basket in the bathroom with stuff you might forget - bandaids, small bath products and yes, if you do have to work in between or have techno-teens, there is a WiFi connection.
A swim in the lovely pool before breakfast, sitting on the porch in the evening with a glass of wine watching the sun go down - maybe Petit Chat will drop by to visit.
Vernou is within easy reach for groceries, Tours is not far and you are "in the middle" for all the Chateau touring that your heart could desire.

“Warmest welcome to gorgeous house with pool on a vineyard in The Loire.”

We could not have had a warmer welcome from Juliette and Peter our hosts, who lived next door. Absolutely nothing has been too much trouble. We got lost finding the house (our fault) and Peter came out very late on a Saturday evening to find us in a nearby village and show us the way. The children had gifts waiting for them on their beds, thoughtfully wrapped by Juliette and we had the most delicious breakfast delivered to us on the first morning- pastries, a baguette, honey from their own bees and apple juice made from local apples. We were also given a bottle of excellent wine, made on the property using organic methods (no hangover!) It couldn't have been a better start to our holiday. The house itself is charming, very tastefully furnished and decorated by Juliette who is clearly very creative. The pool was wonderful and very safe for our small children. We loved our visits to the local village with its market and it is also very conveniently placed to visit many of the region's splendid chateaux and vineyards. We couldn't recommend this place more highly for those wanting a relaxing family holiday in The Loire Valley.

“Beautiful and charming cottage with delightful hosts.”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May 2013, and the cottage was as wonderful as it seems in the photos. The only thing that outshined the cottage was the wonderful hosts, Juliette and Peter.

The cottage looks exactly as depicted, sitting on 6 acres of vineyards. Juliette and Peter live in the main house just steps away from the cottage. The cottage has been renovated to keep the integrity of a traditional french cottage, but with great touches of modern living, including excellent showers/bathrooms, iphone5 dock and speaker and modern kitchen appliances.

Upon our arrival, Juilette greeted us and in the cottage was a bottle of wine from their vineyard and as promised, some handmade jam, honey and some sundries. My favorite was that the hosts dropped off some fresh bread in the morning and we could use the nespresso machine and enjoy a quiet coffee.
