The shop and factory is very interesting and purchases were made. There is a branch shop at Pilgrim's Rest and if you have the time and inclination you can arrange to go out to the farm

Just to be sure, there are 2 venues, the shop and weavery in town, and the actual farm. We visited both. The farm is interesting, a good drive out of town down a slippery path. You learn all about the silk worm. Buy geese food and feed the geese on your way out, great fun! The shop is just a shop, nice stuff, interesting to see the weaving.

It was pouring with rain on our visit. We still had the most enlightening tour. What wonderful staff, all of them. We had kids along and they were just stunned with all the info and turning of the wheel to unwind a cocoon. Well worth the visit and certainly need to commend the all the staff for their hearty welcome and pleasant behaviours on our visit. Wish I could buy more of the silks. Well done

Such an interesting tour and only R55.00 per person. Would definitely recommend this!
A lot of worms and moths and cocoons for you to see and touch, nice restaurant and a nice shop with silk products!

The small town of Grasskopf is cute and I enjoyed this store. The ladies were very helpful and kind. Lot's of choices. Too much to pick from. Loved it!
