Enjoyed seeing the few rooms. The lady in kitchen had cooked bread and pie over fire in fireplace. Blacksmith shop was full of interesting items.

Biddle house is just one of many historical buildings on the island. The architecture is worth a look inside and out.

This is a fully restored building which is hundreds of years old... it gives you a chance to step back ... way back, and get a feel for with island life was like.

We visited here after we visited Fort Mackinac. It was included in our ticket. Nice brief tour of the house, nice guides in the house. Be sure to see the blacksmith shop.

Parts of Biddle House are thought to be dated to 1780 which would make it the oldest building on Mackinac Island. The name comes from Mr Biddle who purchased it in 1831. It's rarely open for an interior visit but the outside can always be accessed.
