My favorite thing here was the ride in a 1914 model T Ford. Learning how it operates....it's 100 years old! Also the Edison workshop, a live display on how his phonograph works, the steam engine train, I can go on and on. If you are near Dearborn, get yourself and the family here for a great time. Also good food available at the Eagle Tavern. It's a full day of fun learning.

Take a step back in time to various time periods to see homes, stores, transportation, and costumed tour guides. Ride in a model T, horse drawn carriage or train. See various crafters. Get there before noon to see cooking demonstrations which we missed but would be fun to have experienced. Frozen custard is delicious. We saw a game of old fashion baseball which was fun to watch. Not sure how often this happens... we were there on a Sunday. We spent about 3 hours but wish we had about 1-2 more hours. Personally we didn't need all day. (All adults in our group)

You could totally spend more than a day here. Acres of fun. The property is filled with buildings representing times long ago. You can see how things were made back in the day. Weaving, printing, pottery, Tim smiths, lumber manufacturing, agriculture and more. You can take a ride in a model T, carriage rides, or steam trains. There are representatives in most buildings explaining how things worked and their purposes. Food is available on site or bring your own. Definitely worth the trip.

Whether you are riding in a Model T, in a horse drawn wagon, or strolling through the tree lined streets, your adventure at Greenfield Village will be a memorable experience in history. There are famous homes, working trade shops, a farm, riverboat, and vintage carousel with costumed guides to tell you how each reflects the history of the venue. Children and adults can play turn of the century games on the Green, explore the barns, see a play, enjoy musical presentations, and sample food grown and prepared on site like travelers used to do when taking the stage from Detroit to Chicago at the Eagle Tavern. Plan to spend at least one full day or more at Greenfield Village!
