This is your basic motel. No frills no extravagance. EconoLodge is at the bottom of the chain of Choice hotels. So i was expecting much. They have smoking and non smoking rooms. Inside and outside corridors. They offer a cold minimal breakfast and hot fresh coffee. If you are looking for more of eggs and such then walk up the road to iHop which is only a minutes walk. The hotel sits in a business area and with the many security cameras facing the parking lot and in the hallways, i never felt like i had to worry. We were first checked into rm 134 which was a single Queen bed but we needed two beds. Nicole was polite enough to change us into rm 122. I needed a few more towels and pillows and Sam the night auditor was prompt with getting me what i needed. With his smile and easy to talk to attitude i can see a manger in him. I hope that Raymond D knows what an incredible employee he has. Cause it was Sam who made this stay worth while. I will say that some attention to detail needs to be put on the rooms and if things get taken care of i see this property bloom. If you are looking for a 3 star hotel move on up the road. This place is just a simple motel with friendly front desk staff and clean rooms.
This place is a disaster!! All the other reviews are true! Cigarette burns on mattress, bugs, tv didn’t work. Went here because my sis in law had booked it because it was close to the Big E. Friday night the people that live here (yes people live here) partied all night long, blaring music and beeping car alarms. If there was vacancy at any other motel/hotel nearby I would of left!! STAY AWAY!!!
Booked a room a few weeks ahead of stay in the area.
Arrived at 3:45p and room was not ready. Finally got in at 4:10 only to hurry to pee and the toilet was plugged up. Got the guy that didn't speak English to come unplug it.
There was black duck tape covering missing floor tiles in the bathroom. The bottom of the tub was black and had many cracks. Hot water was tepid at best. Got up to use the bathroom in the morning and the toilet was yet again plugged :(
There must be several non american folks living at the hotel. There were several of their kids running everywhere with a few adults hanging out. 2 school buses dropped off kids as we were waiting to get in room.
On the plus side. The gal at the front desk was kind and the coffee was really Good!
Needed to find a stop over place headed through Springfield area, not too many choices last minute. Booked this place and what a mistake. I would not risk the safety of my children and never left the car. About 10 young men just hanging out in front drinking and smoking.
