I travel pretty extensively. Probably a couple weekends every month for the past 5 years. And this is the first hotel review I have ever left. Ever. I can say, unequivocally, that this is the worst place my family has ever stayed. EVER. We were there for a lacrosse tournament July 16-18. The grounds were unkept, surrounded by weeds and cigarette butts, trash. The waft of stale moist warm air greeting you from dimly lit hallways was unbearable. They were clearly saving money by not putting ac on in hallways. (We had to drive around to our room, the keypad would not work but fortunately the door waster propped open with a "wet floor" sign for people to come and go.) The rooms were disgusting. (We stayed in 121 -- if someone reaches out to me, could be glad to share pics...) Bathroom sink faucets were stained, pealing bubble paint on wall next to toilet where ruin ate away at wall (tried to pray paint over it with a color was wasn't nearly a match), pealing pain around tub, tub didn't drain well so water pooled around your ankles, hanging dirty fan in bathroom, hair dryer sounded like it was gasoline powered, bubbled linoleum nite stand with cardboard based loose and sticking out from under lamp, mold around ac unit caulking in corner, windows dirty and cloudy. We had to put a towel on the floor to set our dirty clothes on for fear of touching floor. A family from NY showed us videos they shot of bed bugs from the tower room which I can see captured in other review. None of the ice machines worked anywhere. Here is a kicker....we were awoken at midnight from a violent altercation in room two doors down with angry man smashing doors off hinges and screaming at top of his lungs. Front desk called 911 and cops stormed in and arrested people. It was terrifying. People next door to us were blocking door from inside and could not sleep all night. Door was completely splattered off hinges with safety bar lock in place. The hotel covered it with a white "crime scene" sheet that night and repaired next day. Told us it was a "domestic dispute and that we were safe..." when we got back home we put all our clothes in garage overnight then washed twice next day. I WILL SAY the staff was very very nice and genuinely apologetic and accommodating, but appeared incredibly overworked. We felt really bad for them. And the beds - remarkably -- were fairly comfortable. That weekend had every hotel sold out in 45 miles radius or we would have moved. But I would def. recommend sleeping in your car if you can't find anything in the area.
