Visited with grandkids, they had a great time, lots of activity for them on a cold snowy day. Like I said, lots to do for the little ones!

We went to today with our lego-loving boys (ages 8 & 4). A good time was had by all!! I don't understand the negative reviews. If you want a big theme park, then visit Legoland in Florida or California. This is a discovery center in a big city. YES it's smaller but that makes it more manageable for the little ones. I could see my kids at all times here and didn't have to worry about them wandering off or straying away. I'd say this place is great for ages 7 & under. Especially the under 5 set. We found the staff to be nice, the place to be clean, and plenty of legos to play with. We also loved the area of Assembly. Plenty of stores, restaurants and treats nearby. After reading the negative reviews of the cafe, I was glad to see it was under construction and we were allowed to leave for lunch and return. We walked to Legal Seafood, had lunch and returned to Legoland for a while. We purchased adult tickets online and had "anytime" tickets to use that were gifts. We arrived in the 10-1030 window, stayed til Noon, went to lunch, then returned until 3pm. The kids loved all of it. Buy your tickets online, go on a less busy day, and if you can brave the Boston traffic, it's worth a trip. Free parking in the garage next door (first 3 hrs), and very reasonable up to 5 hrs. Enjoy!

This place was fun for the kids, but not a lot of actual lego's going on. The interactive "movie" at the beginning was not terribly exciting. They liked the lego models of Fenway, waterfront, stadium, etc. - I think the adults appreciated it more. They loved the "Firehouse" where they got to run around on different levels. We liked that the Firehouse had one-way-in-one-way-out, so we didn't have to worry about the kids leaving that attraction without us seeing them. Wish their had been more places for the kids to sit and play with actual legos. The two "rides" had height restrictions, but the kids enjoyed them. The food was surprisingly good/healthy.
