We were heading out for seafood at a local joint only to have a tour bus unloading throngs of tourists.
Peeled out of there and went to MARSHLAND for a good home cooked meal.

This small place was busy, but with locals and everyday people.
Sat at the counter as the tables were full. Great staff, hustling to feed, clear tables and set up for more customers. The staff made sure the place was clean from tables, to floor to counter areas and more.

Lunch specials posted: ordered a Bourbon Burger with cheddar cheese with fired onions and mushrooms. Also a crock of clam chowder.
The burger was large and juicy and hit the spot. Huge pickle, lettuce and tomato and a plate full of crispy fries. Perfectly cooked. Delicious. The Chowder claims to be "Award Winning Clam Chowder". Not sure what award, BUT I give it MY 5 star award. Full of clams, potatoes, no sand, no flour clumping, no dirt taste. Light and almost a hint of sweet. More than pleased.
I think I have learned my lesson.....Go to Marshland. Period. I saw many meals delivered from lobster rolls to Rueben's to fish sandwich and more. EVERYTHING looked delicious. Now I was way too full for dessert....but watch the staff make a brownie sundae. That was a huge treat for another day!!! Looked Mighty good. The table where it went did not leave a drop behind so figured it was as good as it looked.
Thank you for a great meal!

Shout out to our waitress, Haley! This was our first visit here and it was Ah-mazing! We were greeted immediately by the friendly hostess, Haley was helpful and funny helping us decide what to order. The food was delish...all of it! And we had a treat from the bakery that was to die for. Everything was clean and tidy too. It's not often you get 5 stars in the Trifecta...service, food and appearance. Keep doing what you're doing...well definitely be back!
