This area is beautiful, but you have to pay per car load as you do with most of the beaches on the Cape. Very pricey for tourists on a weeks vacation.
BUT if you watch for programs, they have turtle releases, bird walks and more that are generally free to participate. Went on a great bird walk a year ago and had a terrific leader who showed us many things in the dunes other than just birds. We wrapped up walking on the beach and learned about the beach and camping as well.
This year participated in the turtle release program. There must have been 100 school children and adults walking through the marsh to release turtles back to nature.
This beach is more than just catching the sun's rays and camping it have a lot to offer.
Check it out!

You pay good money to be able to drive on the beach but sometimes there is only a small stretch of beach open. Cars are parked 2-3 deep with people you don't even know.

When its fully open, it makes for an enjoyable day. Some of the beach "mall cops" are a little gung ho with little tolerance.

Families enjoy this beach and the ability to park close to the water. When you inconvenience the customer have a little consideration to that fact.

After enjoying our hot pastrami sandwiches from The Deli, we visited Sandy Neck Beach for the first time in early spring. The parking was plentiful for the few early season visitors. The boardwalk engravings were interesting. The dunes and tidal pools make for an enjoyable beach.

Have had an Over Sand Beach Pass for years to drive on this beautiful stretch beach.

Great place for families and small children to enjoy the water. Many shallow tidal pools at low tide for the kids to play and be safe in.

Dog friendly, with miles of beach to drive down. Have a fire on the beach at night or complete bbq during the day.

Good fishing spots along beach.

Only negative is shortening of available beach due to piping plover nesting for about 5 weeks in summer creating overcrowding on w/e's

We have been to the Cape many times and this was our first visit to this beach. Actually, we went here twice on this trip as the first day it was lightly raining, but it was still awesome to walk along the beach. As far as you can see in both directions is sand as it's the longest beach (6 miles long) in the area. We had a great time looking for shells and sea glass that we decided to go back the next day when the sun was shining. And best of all both days there were hardly any people on it which made it so peaceful. We are "tourists" that like to go places before or after "tourist season". We walked for miles and enjoyed our time here. Would highly recommend.
